Changes to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Hours of Service regulations took effect October 1, 2005, with a transitional period lasting until December 31, 2005, for America’s long-haul trucking industry to learn and phase into the new changes. Motor carriers will need to modify their Hours of Service educational materials and train employees on these changes.

To help businesses nationwide to meet the challenge of training drivers on the new changes, MANCOMM has revised and expanded its DVD, Commercial Motor Vehicle Operator Instruction Series: Hours of Service. The 24-minute DVD explains the regulations in an easy-to-understand manner, enhanced with video footage and computer graphics to aid each driver’s comprehension.
